ABOUT KAGANGA

KAGANGA is an ethnic music from Bengkulu, Indonesia, whose artistic identity is rooted in the oral traditions of the Bengkulu one of Sumatra's. KAGANGA explores traditional storytelling, ritual chants, proverbs, poetic expressions, ceremonial songs, and ancestral philosophies, translating these cultural elements into contemporary musical language.

Rather than reproducing traditional performances, KAGANGA creates original compositions inspired by the values, narratives, and sonic landscapes of Rejang culture. Their music combines indigenous percussion, bamboo instruments, traditional vocals, and contemporary musical arrangements, offering audiences an immersive experience that bridges heritage and innovation.
